I think the police officer is racist. According to the text, the police officer said he felt threatened when he saw jamal. He said he saw a gun, but really it was a toy gun. He also stated that jamal was “bluky” and “strong, tall”. The police officer thought he was 24! Therefore I think the police officer is racist.

I think that Auggie shouldn’t go to school because his mom wants him to. According to the text, Auggies mom wants him to go to school, since he has been home schooled his entire life, but Auggie doesn’t want to go to school, because of his face. I think they should let Auggie make the decision. If he doesn’t want to go to school, then he shouldn’t .

Why that many:

I put that many stars because this book is super intriguing. It always makes you think “I have to find out what happens.”

My favorite character: Stella

Why that character:

I chose stella because, she kinda reminds me of me. She takes care of her little brother all the time. Which I do have little brother, that I do take care of all the time.

Favorite moment: The whole book

Why:

I don’t really have a favorite moment. I really like the whole book.

I think that Stella could be very independent. According to the text, Stella takes care of jojo as in, bringing him to school, making sure he is safe in front of a CULT. She is young, and probably my age. Which I think is VERY mature of her. Therefor, I think Stella could be very independent.

The giver by lois lowry describes what its like to live in a dystopian society like release, and many others. In the beginning Jonas is concerned about getting his assignment. He will won’t know will he is a 12, and also won’t know if its one that he would want. Adding on to that, A plain flies overhead. Jonas doesn’t know what this means so he hides like everyone else would.

Why that many? –

I give this book 5 stars because it was a great book in general. Every character showed the cardinal expectations, well most of them. Sometimes they didn’t show safe but otherwise they showed responsible and respectful.

Favorite character: Amal

Why that character:

My favorite character is Amal. She is a role model to her siblings and to me. Amal always wanted to help her teachers , her parents, and pretty much everyone that she knows.

Favorite moment:

If I’m being honest, I really don’t have a “favorite moment.” I liked the whole book if you can count that as a favorite moment.

I think that there would be some pros and cons about sameness. No one would be judged because of the color of their skin because they see no color. No one would fight over their favorite color because, like I said they don’t see color. A con would be their would be there would be no…action in life. We would never learn what’s right and what’s wrong. Adding on to this, I also have a theory, if they have sameness, would they all have the same opinions on things? Like their favorite color, or food, or teacher?

I think that mom is not going to get better. According to the text {pg. 26} Amal is going to stay home from school so then she can take care of the babies until mom get better (thinking that would be 2-4 days). Well she does stay home, but it’s been nine days, and mom is still not feeling better. She really only moves to get a drink of water, and occasionally to eat dinner with the family. Therefore I do not think that mom is going to get better

I think that Ami is happy with a baby girl, but also scared that Abu and Amal won’t be happy. According to the text, once the baby was born, Amal went to go see the baby. Once she got ahold of the baby she figured out that mom was crying. Amar assumed that mom just wanted the baby, but really she was worried that they both didn’t appreciate that the baby was a girl

I loved this play so much for many reasons. First off, the characters were great. My favorite one would definitely be Laurie. They played the part amazing. The actions, emotion, even the voice. My second to favorite character would be amy. She also played the part great. She had the perfect height if that makes since. The only thing I would say about her would be that she yelled A LOT. Mostly all of her parts were yelling, but I don’t really mind it that much. Second, they storyline was also great. The actors in Little Women really played the part great.
